Dead Air Gypsies – July 1st 2008

Debut Performance: ‘Live’ in studio K with Lady in Blue, SCSI & Dirt Girl.

About: The Dead Air Gypsies are a revolving raggle taggle cast of characters who say about their act, “We’re an act, who is trying to get our act together.” So please bear with them as they break the dead air and start rolling. This is largely improv and highly plagiarized from KMUD’s Dead Air Pirates. Satirical call in show, advice column and ummm….not sure what all!

Wanted: More Gypsies! Email Us

Time: Sporadic & spontaneous Tuesdays on KLOI, following Gleanings around 9 PM ish.

Gleanings Radio Show – 7/01/2008 – Audio

Theme: Heading to the Oregon Country Fair – a wee slice of music & vaudeville from OCF performers past & present. Thanks to all the folks who lent me their collections. There are some great old gems here. I digitized from old cassettes Guru Blues from The Citizens Band & Where’s Your Mind Gone by  Jim Page & Artis. Reverend Chumleigh and Mother Zosima were found over on Bard’s Cathedral…. WoW!!! Pretty fun assembling all this. So much music that I could not fit into a one hour show. Sure to be more after the fair…
